It's his birthday today!!!

It's Jordan's birthday today!!!....my big, baby boy is now 14!!!!!!

Wow, where did those years go....I can still remember the day of his birth as if it was yesterday, but I guess all mums remember the births of their children so clearly.

In the last 12months he has physically grown so much and he's now taller than his mum!!! :o

We're taking him out to dinner tonight and then a few of his school mates are coming over for an afternoon/evening of playstation, Wii and pizza on Saturday.

He is becoming a lovely young man...so sweet and caring.

Happy Birthday gorgeous boy!!!....Dad and I love you and are very proud of you!!!

Lovely Blog Award........

I've been very slack....the very talented Kathie Link gave me this award a couple of weeks ago and I'm only just now posting it!!......Thanks so much Kathie!!.......

I'm supposed to pass it onto another 7 recipients, and although it's lovely to be recognised by other bloggers, there are so many of these blog awards going around that it's getting difficult to award it to people that haven't already been given....can only think of a few...

Deb Godley

Jaimie Emmerton

Janine Kaye

OK it's just a quick post today!

Thanks for dropping by!

Do you want to help the Victorian bushfire families???....

The very talented Sarah Gladman is organising collections of scrapbooking pages to create memory books for all those families affected by the Victorian bushfire.....it's so sad to think that they have lost all their precious photos and memories and this is a way that we scrappers can help....

Head over to Sarah's blog to find out more and if you would like to contribute, leave Sarah a comment and she will email you with her address.

I'll be contributing some pages...hope you can too!

A raging inferno....

That's what struck parts of Victoria on Saturday....a hell on earth.

I've been watching the TV footage everyday with tears in my eyes, like most people I imagine.

My thoughts and prayers are with everyone who has been so terribly affected by this bushfire tragedy....lives and property gone in a few minutes...complete devastation.

But the firies and all the emergency workers and volunteers are doing a magnificent job!!...the wonderful Aussie spirit comes to the fore once again!

I needed to put some words down on paper so I did this simple layout yesterday...I just felt that I had to record something about that awful February Saturday in 2009 while the thoughts were still fresh in my mind............

To all the victims and their families & friends and all the volunteer workers,

God Bless!
